In usual tradition the club will be running a World Cup sweepstake for the 2022 FIFA World Cup - arguably the most controversial sporting event ever to happen (and that is saying a lot with some things we've seen down The Moor).

The rules and set up of the sweepstake are simple:

• It will cost £10 for a team - initially limited to 1 per person
• There will be a random draw to determine who gets which team
• Entry is on a first come first served basis - enter either replying to this email or by messaging Aaron Hinton directly (who will then confirm entry and payment details)
• Prizes will be allocated as follows:
  • £160 to Boxmoor Cricket Club
  • £80 for the tournament winner
  • £30 for the tournament runner up
  • £10 for the tournament 3rd place
  • £10 for the team conceding the most in the group stage
  • £10 for the team scoring the most in the group stage
  • £10 for the team with the most yellow and red cards combined in the group stage
  • £10 for the team who scores the first own goal of the tournament

  If any of these are tied, a random draw will be held to determine the winner.

The draw for teams will occur on Friday 25th November at The Moor - which will be opening for the England vs USA game which kicks off at 7pm.

Despite the corruption which surrounds this World Cup, there will be no acceptance of bribes for getting a good team.
