The Sunday 1st XI aims to play friendly cricket with a competitive edge, aiming to foster a winning attitute amongst younger players in a more relaxed arena than saturday league cricket.

Previously, the Sunday 1st XI re-entered the Chess Valley Cricket League in 2012 into Division 7. After relegation in the first season, they won 3 successive promotions in 2013, 2014, and 2015, and played in Division 5 in 2016.
