Charity Quiz Night on Saturday 9th March

03 Mar 2019

On Saturday 9th March the club is hosting a charity quiz night in aid of Prostate Cancer UK

Dan & Channy who are running the event are cycling from London to Amsterdam for Prostate Cancer UK and the quiz night is one of their events to raise funds. Dan is an ex junior member of the club and is the older brother of 2nd team captain Nick but don't let that put you off !! , Channy has never played cricket but has supported the club over the years by drowning his sorrows at the bar after Watford have lost again.

As both Channy & Dan are big Watford fans, if they turn up on the night wearing Luton Town shirts then I will donate £25 towards their cause.

There is space left for two teams and the lads have asked if there is anyone within the club that would like to enter a team ( maximum number of 6 per team & a suggested donation of £3 per player )

Whilst we can't promise that you will know the answers, we are sure that it will be a lively night courtesy of the quizmaster " Stridey" who will be doing his best impression of "smithy" from Gavin & Stacey so for those that are familiar with the show i'm sure that Gary Lineker might feature as an answer or two.

There will be other fundraising events taking place on the night including a raffle with some great prizes, too many to list but well worth winning

If anyone would like to enter a team for the quiz which starts at 7.30pm, then please drop an e-mail to mattjl72@btinternet.com confirming numbers. If you would like to come along and support the event but don't have a team that's not a problem just e-mail me and I will get something sorted.

All Dan & Channy ask is that you come along to have some fun and be prepared to dip into your pocket to support them in raising awareness and funds for Prostrate Cancer UK

It would be great if as a club we could get a couple of teams together to enter in the quiz and support a couple of local lads doing their bit for a very worthwhile cause.

Hope to see you there

Matt
