Matt Smalley-Harris

David Coster

Sheer weight of runs (645 Herts League, 201 CVL) and wickets (37/6). A spectacular season on field and off in both Herts & Chess Valley Leagues, leading by example to take the First XI to promotion and a commitment to Friendly cricket (433 Runs & 12 Wickets) to help bring on the junior players into adult cricket.

Sam Pimm

loads of runs and wickets and captain of a Title-winning side

Matt Campbell

For player of the year he’s scored runs and taken wickets consistently and made tough decisions for the team to get the wins in and top the Division.

Aidan Pimm

David Harley

Aidan has been a cornerstone of the Boxmoor 3s batting line-up this season, delivering consistently impactful performances. He has scored 246 runs across 10 innings, averaging an impressive 27.33, including a well-earned half-century. These figures, however, must be viewed in the context of the challenging pitches the 3s play on, which are significantly more demanding than the pristine surfaces at the Moor. It’s reasonable to argue that Aidan’s run tally could be doubled to reflect the equivalent output on higher-quality pitches, underscoring his exceptional skill and adaptability.

Beyond his runs, Aidan’s influence extends far beyond the scoreboard. Frequently batting alongside inexperienced junior players, he provides calm, constructive guidance that not only steadies partnerships but also fosters their development. His mentorship is invaluable, strengthening the team’s cohesion and supporting the club’s long-term growth by nurturing its young talent. Add to this his sharp, reliable slip fielding, and Aidan’s all-around contribution makes him a standout candidate for Player of the Season.

David Harley

Matt Smalley-Harris

David has had a spectacular season with the ball, taking 29 wickets in 70 overs at an average of 11.83, making him the 2nd highest wicket taker in his division, including a hat-trick vs Watford Town . Added to his leadership on and off the field in making the 3rd XI a force to be reckoned with David is a worthy candidate for Player of the Season.

Matt Smalley-Harris

David Coster

Matt has put in a lot of effort on the communications, fundraising and sponsorship side of the club and been a driving force when it comes to looking into grant funding from local authorities and Herts CCC and beyond

Aidan Pimm

Matt has proactively driven a number of streams which include a social calendar, pavilion expansion, sponsorship packages as well as successfully obtaining a grant for £4000 for new equipment which was much needed at the time. As well as this Matt has produced a monthly newsletter to keep members informed of club news. This approach has helped build momentum in the club on top of the captaincy that Matt undertakes.

Bob Booth

Not just for his playing/captaincy, but also for communication to the wider Boxmoor community. I.e. the old gits !!

Dan Hobbs

David Coster

Dan has contributed immensely at junior levels, organising and running winter and then summer training; and both managing an age group in the junior setup while being a major part of the Adult sides. All of these will have taken many invisible hours of messaging, organising and flexibility for the wider good of the club & its players

Suzy Chalk

Aidan Pimm

At the start of the year, there were limited funds in our bank account and we were struggling to get on top of spend. Suzy Chalk took over as Treasurer and has diligently worked to keep spend under control as well as ensuring the membership fees were paid on time from both senior and junior players. It has taken a lot of time and focus by Suzy but financially we are in a more stable position (although more work is to be done). Without this support, the club would have been in financial trouble. This work is on top of the important role of Club Welfare Officer which Suzy also undertakes.

Martin and David Cope

Bob Booth

For many years service as groundsmen. I suspect the work they have put in will become more noticeable when they stop.
