Register for Play-Cricket, the Herts Saracens League will require it in the future!
As well as the existing Boxmoor Cricket Club website that you're visiting us on now, we also have a site through the ECB's Play-Cricket service.
The ECB are targeting clubs in 2022 to have over 50% of our members registered on Play-Cricket, and currently we're at less than 10%.
It will be mandatory for all players in the Saracens Hertfordshire Premier Cricket League to be registered by 2024!
Therefore we would like to be pro-active and ask you to register on Play-Cricket as soon as possible, and then join the Boxmoor site on it.
How to sign up:
This should only take a few minutes to complete.

- Once registered, login and visit the Boxmoor PC site here and request to join by clicking on the person icon (detailed instructions if needed are here)
So what's in it for you?
As well as helping the club, there are some features for players too.
- We will ensure that all scorecards in 2022 are uploaded to Play-Cricket as well as the existing site (as they were also in 2021) and a full suite of player stats can be seen.
- You can also set your own personal targets if you wish.
- See who the club MVPs are in weekly updates.
- Plus there are weekly honours boards for Hertfordshire which you and your teammates might feature in when scoring big or taking wickets.
Anything else?
The ECB are also targeting clubs to electronically score 40% of games in a season - last season we scored 25%.
The scoring software used is Play-Cricket Scorer (either a phone/tablet app or laptop program). Those that have already used it can testify to it's ease of use, whilst those who aren't able to be at the game can follow the scores live. We will try to keep increasing this percentage this season, but don't worry for those who still love the art of paper scoring we plan to have this too for contingency purposes.
