20 Jul 2017 : Sponsorship - Cambridge Motors

Further good news on the sponsorship front as Cambridge Motors have decided to continue their sponsorship of the Club for another season. They are the Club’s longest sponsor and I'm delighted that the joint owners Philip King and Anthony Deer have continued with their support for another year.

Cambridge Motors are a well established firm in Hemel and are based at the top of Northridge Way in Hemel supplying a range of cars to suit all needs and requirements for personal or business use. If they do not hold a particular car in stock they will be able to source it or provide advice on viable alternatives.

Phil and Tony have access to hundreds of cars through online and trade contacts so if you do not see the car you want, or you have a specific requirement please give them a visit and they can show you a selection of cars available from their wholesale sources. Many of these vehicles are under 3 years old and very low mileage, all with full service history and prepared to the highest standards.

15 Jul 2017 : Boxmoor Cricket Club's 160th Anniversary

 Good Morning All,

Boxmoor Cricket Club was founded 160 years ago in 1857 and to celebrate our anniversary the club has 2 event's planned the first of which will take place on Sunday 16th July.

On Sunday 16th July the club will be open from 11.30 for an day of fun cricket ( 10 over games featuring players past and present ) During the day the BBQ will be fired up and burgers, hot dogs and a vegetarian option are available, the bar will be open from 12.00 with deals on Pimm's & Tring Brewery Real Ale.

Why not pop down at some point during the day and be a part of what promises to be a fun day and a chance to catch up with some old faces and maybe see a few new ones as well.

Everyone is welcome throughout the day, club members past, present and hopefully future, family, friends and anyone who would like to come along.

For anyone who hasn't been to the club for a while then this would be a good opportunity to see what has been done in and around the club over the last few years and also to find out what we have planned for the future.

The second event for the 160th is an Awards Evening for the club where we will celebrate 2017 and those players both junior and adult who have contributed to this. This will take place on Saturday 30th September @ Hemel Hempstead Town FC where we have booked the club for the evening plus a buffet & disco. Details are available at the club and tickets will be available shortly to purchase, £10 Adults & Kids are free

Hope to see you on Sunday

Matt - Chairman

Good Evening

The 100 club draw for April 2017 has been made this afternoon with the numbers being drawn by the Treasurer Rachel Mannering

The winners are as follows:

1st Prize £50  - S Driscoll

2nd Prize £40 - Gavin Smith

3rd Prize £25 - Will Allen

4th Prize £20 - Andy Naylor

5th Prize £10 - Ton Freeman

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to all who participated.

A standing order of just £4 per month buys you 5 shares and the chance to win one of the above monthly prizes.  It is also a great fund raiser for the cricket club.

If you are a player already paying a monthly direct debit to cover your annual subs and match fees then why not increase that by £4 per month.

Or you can buy 1 share which will be a one off annual cost of £15

So if you are not currently a member of the 100 club, why not?  If you are, why not ask friends and family to join us as well, the more that join the more the prizes will continue to be.

Please contact Rachel Dickinson now for any questions or to join e-mail

Winners are also available to view on 100 club winners page on the website.

They are a very down to earth bunch of people with a keen interest in cricket which is why they are delighted to be involved in the match day ball sponsorship for Boxmoor.

One of December 19’s co-founders and Directors is Dan Pimm who is the brother of our Head of Cricket, Aidan. And  would like to take this opportunity to thank Aidan for “advising” Dan of this excellent opportunity.

26 Apr 2017 : 29th of April club game

Morning All

The weather turns freezing, so it must be time to blow those cricketing cobwebs off.

Saturday is the first Home game, and a nice FRIENDLY club game to allow everyone to transfer all the winter netting, out onto the hallowed moor.

All players who have made themselves available will get an involvement in the game, and the teams have been selected and split evenly.

The teams will be shown as a one's and two's, due to the captains, and the way the website works. But, they are both just Boxmoor 11's plus a player (though they are likely to be changed before Saturday)

If you didn't update the website and want to play, please let us know  (either Richard, Jay, or myself) Or just be there by 12noon on Saturday.

It's a 1200hrs meet to allow the chores to be done, and a prompt start.

Richard's team won the home dressing room draw, sorry Jay.

Hope to see you all at the Race night on FRIDAY ( 1945 first race )

Otherwise at 1200 on Saturday

Andy D (team Sec)

Happy Easter Everyone, while you are all working your way through a mountain of Easter Eggs, please see a quick pre season update from Boxmoor HQ.
The season is now fast approaching with the first game starting on Saturday 22nd April. With 3 teams on a Saturday and 2 teams on a Sunday, there is plenty of opportunity to play cricket this season.

Please could everyone get their availability on the website asap. This will help Andy and the Captains see who is available rather than them chasing players up. Getting good availability at the start of the season will set us up nicely for the months ahead. If anyone doesn't have access to the availability on the website through the members area, please ask.

Adult Membership forms
Everyone needs to fill in an Adult membership form before the season starts. It is even more important now as it is mandatory to have everyone's data of birth on the Saracens League website.
Please can you return the forms over the next few days to Matt Larkins.

Senior Training
Senior Training will take place every Tuesday evening at the Moor starting on 25th April at 6:30pm. Adam Hills and Nick Cotterill have kindly agreed to oversee the sessions. This open to everyone so please come down and get some practice in.

Race Night - Friday 28th April

Boxmoor CC will be holding a night at the races on Friday 28th April. This is a night for all the family so please feel free to come down with partners, children and friends. This is always a fun night and it would be great to see the clubhouse full. If you would like to sponsor and name a race or own a  horse, please contact Shelly at
