2010 Promotion begins March 1st. Vouchers can be exchanged by BCC for junior playing equipment.

Matt Larkins has been hard at work, and is pleased to reveal the new kit design. Each player representing the club this season, both junior & adult, is expected to wear the new kit, which now has the new club sponsor's details on the front of the shirt. This is the first time that both our adult and junior teams will be wearing the same kit.

Prices and Sizes are below. Please check your sizes before ordering carefully as no items ordered in error can be sent back or exchanged. There is a full size chart below. Matt has seen samples of the kit and felt the sizes looked on the generous size, however if in doubt he would recommend that if you are in-between sizes that you go for the larger size.

To ensure that the kit is received in time for the start of the season orders need to be placed by Weds 27th Jan 2010.
All order's need to be paid for at the time of ordering by cash or cheque made payable to Boxmoor Cricket Club. Matt is available to collect order's and payment on Monday evenings at junior practice at Westbrook Hay or on Tuesday evenings at senior practice at Redbourn Cricket School. Senior Nets begin on January 5th at Choice Cricket Centre, Redbourn, 8-9pm. £3 adults, £2 students year 10+. We have three lanes each night until April 13th

(Please note that this year players are required by the venue to wear a white shirt and appropriate trousers and trainers. Defaulters will be refused access to the facility)

Junior nets began on on Monday January 4th, at the Sports Hall at Westbrook Hay School. Sessions will run as follows:

(Years 3-6) Under 9s and Under 11s: 6.30 until 7.45
(Years 7-9) Under 13s and Under 14s: 7.45 until 9pm

For safety reasons we request that the boys wear a white top and appropriate trainers.

This winter, as part of the Saracens' sponsorship of the SHCL, Saracens will be offering exclusive prizes for clubs backing Sarries. Whenever you purchase a Saracens match ticket, you'll be helping BOXMOOR CC climb up the SHCL Ticket leader board and with money can't buy and CASH prizes available for the top 32 clubs it's definitely a scheme to get behind!

Prizes available for the top three clubs:

1. Club fixture against the Saracens Select XI (made up of the first team squad members) at Boxmoor in May 2010
2. Club nets session with an International Cricketer
3. £500 of new cricket equipment

What's more, if we make the Top 32 of the SHCL Ticket leader board, we'll receive a £250 contribution for coaching courses and coach development

How to Save YOU money and raise funds for Boxmoor Cricket Club

At the recent AGM Kevin Bushby presented a fund raising scheme for the Cricket Club. If the Cricket Club became an agent for the Utility Warehouse, it would get a % of their ongoing spend. This was agreed as a good idea and was accepted by the AGM.

The Utility Warehouse is a Footsie 250 company that sells Gas, Electricity, phone, both mobile and landline/broadband, all at very good rates. It also has a 5% Cash Back Card that offers an interesting option to those of you who use the cash card at any of the participating member shops. This is a cash card that you deposit funds into, based on how much you feel you may spend during the month on food, petrol etc.. When you use this card, 5% of your spend is credited to your monthly bill thus saving you money as well as making money for your club. It uses Direct Marketing, thus reducing it's marketing spend. As a result, whilst it offers good value for money and Which Rated Excellent service, it can also pay a 5% commission to it's agents. In this case back to the Cricket Club.
