Match report Berkhamsted's openers Parker (29 retired) and Mackie (22) were able to take singles at will, but could find few boundaries against some tidy Boxmoor bowling. Trevillion's direct hit from distance to run out Mackie prompted a flurry of wickets led by captain Howe (4-0-21-2), but Butler Cadle (20*) and Lennox helped the visitors to 117-3.

The Boxmoor reply started well with Jena (18) dispatching anything loose, but the introduction of the off breaks of Alexander saw him hole out at Deep Mid Wicket, soon followed by two more clean bowled. In failing light Cotterell (12*) was left with too much to do against the quick bowling and the home side ended 39 runs short.
