Match report Batting first having lost the toss Boxmoor recovered from an early flurry of wickets [ 3 for 3 ] to post a decent total of 171 for 8 from 53 overs. T Wright top scored with a superb innings of 78 supported by D Cope 44, on a pitch that kept low and offered the bowlers assistance throughtout the day.
In response West Herts got off to a steady start and looked in control until 6 wickets for 50 runs changed the complexion of the game, at the end it was Boxmoor who were pressing for victory whilst West Herts seemed happy to settle for a draw. The spin twins of P Malhotra [ 3 for 44 ] and A Mahajan [ 2 for 25 ] bowled beautifully in tandem, with M Larkins chipping in with 2 for 27 when West Herts looked to be in control.
A battling performance of which all the team can be proud of, led by the best fielding performance put in so far this season.
