Match report A challenging game played in difficult circumstances, a wet pitch and a chilling wind were vastly different from last week's conditions. Boxmoor won the toss and invited Old E's to bat and despite the best efforts of P Lockley 15-2-40-4, Old E's posted a good score of 203 from 46 overs, helped in part by a poor display in the field which will need to be much improved upon next week if Boxmoor II are to regain the winning habit.
Chasing 203 from just 40 overs was a tall order and defeat looked the most likely outcome as Boxmoor slumped to 52 for 6 from 19 overs, however a partnership of 81 between M Larkins 52 and P Lockley 19 not out put the game beyond Old E's reach. Despite drawing the game only picking up 4 points could prove vital as the season continues, Boxmoor remain in 4th place in the league and will look to return to winning ways next week.
