Match report The Begining of the season saw a confident start for the 1st XI. Making sure that a solid start to the season was made all 53 overs were used and to good effect with the top order getting starts, David Coster making the most out of his elevation to the opening spot with Luke Hinton both scoring 50's. All batsmen made contributions and a great total of 252 for 8 was put on the board.
In responce an opening attack of Feander and Crowther got the early break thru with just the second ball, as a big spinnig delivery was hit to Luke Hinton at cover pressure was continued with 2 more wickets falling in the first 10 overs. Some stuborn batting almost saw Southgate Adeliade get home for a draw, but a final blast with Perry brought masssive rewards, destroying the lower middle order ending with figures of 4-17, David Marke taking one wicket that left Vince Slade wrap up the match with his wicket. A great start to the season.
