Match report The first win of the season for the Saturday second team!
BCC won the toss and elected to bat on a wet pitch and were soon 10 for 2, with the 2 Wrights back in the hut. Hammond and Cope started rebuilding with a partnership of 67 in 24 overs. Then Iqbal added momentum with a quick-fire 37 in a partnership of 63 runs in only 8 over. The regulation mid-order mini collapse saw 3 wickets fall for 6 runs and 2 unnecessary run outs by Hammond, first to run out his skipper, when there was no run and then himself (jug avoidance, especially after enquirying his score the ball before and told he was on 49). After a short rain break, Larkins and Dunscombe shared an unbeaten stand of 44 in 7.3 overs to help BCC to a very competitive score of 190 for 6 in 51 overs.

SVCC started confidently before Kevin Deacon blew the top order with 5 wickets in a spell of 16 overs for 28 runs of brilliant away swinging bowling. Iqbal came on to mop up the tail with 3 for 9. Although 4 catches were dropped, there were enough around for 7 batsmen to be out caught!SVCC were bowled out for 105 in 41.5 overs, BCC winning the game by 85 runs.
