Match report Boxmoor suffered their first defeat in six games against a strong Met Police outfit but still managed to move up a place in division six. Electing to bat first Moor made slow progress with the innings anchored around a watchful innings of 54 by Aiden Pimm who gritted out 30 overs on a slow pitch. The innings was given much needed impetus by Dave Young (39) and David Coster (33 n.o.) who went aerial with lusty blows all around the park. A productive last 10 overs saw Boxmoor notch up a creditable 205 for 7 form 53 overs


Met Police started their reply with plenty of intent, stealing singles at every opportunity and punishing any loose bowling, despite always being ahead of the rate Bushey were kept in check by Boxmoor’s change bowlers with David Marke nicking in with three important wickets. Met Police secured victory arresting a run of three defeats with five overs to spare, but with 16 points from a tough fixture Boxmoor were left reasonably happy with the outcome.
