Boxmoor Cricket Club Won by 15 runs

Match report Tring Park (3) 265-4 4pts v Boxmoor 280-3 20pts
At last a fine if not very cold night. I can't remember the last time I could see peoples breath while playing cricket in May!
Captains Alex and Dominic tossed and Dominic won the toss for Tring Dolphins and elected to field.
Boxmoor's openers got off to a good start with a partnership of 24 including a couple of glorious 4's from Alex and one from Josh. Tring's opening bowlers plugged away and Noah was rewarded with a wicket with his last ball.
Jack and Archie entered the middle and contributed to a partnership of 26 the best of the match. Indeed Archie top scoring for Boxmoor with 15 runs. Francesca had a much improved bowling performance and indeed took a wicket with her first ball! Jonah did well on his debut and was unlucky to mainly bowl to Archie who was in great form.
Next up was Freddy and William for Boxmoor with Patrick and Dominic bowling. Patrick started with a maiden in his opening over with some great bowling and Freddy did well to keep Patrick out. It was tough for Freddy and William but both did well to keep their wickets intact againstsome good bowling from both Dominic and Patrick.
Last in were William and Ben for Boxmoor and Tring had two more debutants in Matthew and Jake. Again tight bowling from Jake and Matthew restricted scoring opportunities for William and Ben and indeed Matthew capped off a fine bowling performance with a wicket in his last over.
Boxmoor 280 - 3
Tring's openers Jack and Noah were up against some fine bowling from Josh and Alex. Alex stood out with two wickets and no runs against. Noah hit three great 4's against some fine bowling and Jack backed Noah up well.
Next up for Tring were Francesca and Jonah with Jack and Archie bowling for Boxmoor. Jonah showing his batting skills with three fine 4's against backed up well by Francesca. Indeed this partnership contributed 18 runs.
Tring then sent in Patrick and Dominic with Freddie and William bowling for Boxmoor. Again good bowling from Boxmoor with William taking 1 wicket and conceding only 1 run. A good partnership of 17 despite a wicket being lost.
Last up with a lot to do were Matthew and Jake with Ben and William bowling for Boxmoor. It was a good effort from the Tring pair and indeed they contributed the top partnership of 21 for Tring but unfortunately Tring fell short of Box moor's total.
Tring Dolphins 265-4
A good competitive game played in great spirit. Lets hope for some better weather coming up.
