Tring Park 1 v Boxmoor Cricket Club Under 9s on Sun 24 Jul 2011 at 10am
Boxmoor Cricket Club Lost by 5 runs

Match report A thrilling finale to the Under 9s debut season as Boxmoor visited the pristine Tring Park. Tring's total of 265, helped by 41 extras looked like enough, but Boxmoor's best batting performance of the season nearly earned a deserved win. The two opening pairs batted sensibly, but Josh and Archie's arrival accelerated the scoring thanks to some well taken singles and a boundary each.

The final pair of Alexes Bell and Gibson set about the 23 runs with some audacious singles and an incredible all run 5... very rare. Five required from the last over, and following a wide, two singles and a dot ball the scores were tied with 2 balls left. Alex B made a good connection but the bowler collected the ball cleanly and calmly completed the run out, to win the game.
