Match report Chipperfield won the toss and stuck the home side in, and started well with the new ball, with only 5 off the first 3 overs. However after a watchful start Smith (30 retired) opened up with a flurry of boundaries. Bright (4/3/0-2) and Webb (2//0/2-7) were the pick of the bowlers meaning Clark (10) and bat carrier Harper (26*) could not accelerate the scoring towards the end of the innngs. With 113 to defend Boxmoor's bowlers worked hard on bowling straight, and a tight field meant it was hard for Chipperfield to keep up with the target. Vincent-Jones (4/1/1-12) made the early breakthrough before a run out by Batton with a thrilling throw from square leg to hit one stump. Harper (1/0/2-1) and Williamson (4/1/2-6) did for the middle order, before Clark (12*) and Webb (16*) settled in to bat and run well to see the innings out. Clark's innings had an unusual reprieve, and bonus, when Flynn ran round to take a two handed catch at square leg, whilst holding his cap!
