Match report A hastily arranged friendly to replace the Tring Tournament, began under very unpromising low cloud on Bank Holiday Monday. Boxmoor's openers made a slow if steady start as the home side struggled with a wet new ball. Jamie came in first wicket down and proceeded to play himself in, and made a fine 23 with a blend of solid defence and straight hitting. Jay (12*) and Oli (9) both helped pick up the pace with good partnerships.

With the outfield and wicket drying, Boxmoor's bowlers coped much better with the local geography than the last visit. Only 4 wides were bowled in the innings, the best tally of the season. Max and Alex took two wickets apiece, and with KLCC's batsmen retiring and returning regularly, a gradstand finish was set up. Needing 2 runs to win from 12 balls with 3 wickets in hand, the home side were blown away by a devastating triplewicket maiden by Jay Wilson, who was rightly mobbed once victory was secured!
