Match report Last game of the year, which really encapsulated the season. Batting first, the home side were undone by some bad luck (Jamie on debut ran out by a lucky deflection,Sam C dragging on a wide ball) missing some straight bowling and chipping up some easy catches. Boundaries from Jay and Luke (15) could not be capitalised on and only some late wides allowed a score of 71. Abbot's opener Billy (18*) batted sensibly throughout the innings, putting on 38 for the second wicket with Harry, and despite a direct hit from Sam Pimm, a trademark good catch by Jay (under pressure from Mike) and an athletic attempt at a one handed catch of the year by Luke, Abbots won without too many more scares.
