Junior cricket was reintroduced at Boxmoor 4 years ago, and is currently overseen by Nick Harper an ECB Level Two Coach. He is currently assisted by UKCC1 coaches, Matt Larkins, Aidan Pimm, Rob Feander, Ian Gorringe, Alex Humphrey, Stan Harper, Prateek Malhotra and Matt Chapman.
In 2011 the Under 13s won the County Shield and four junior cricketers were regular players in the Saturday 1st XI. Boxmoor Juniors have also played for Dacorum District and Area level.
In 2012 we will have over 100 juniors learning the game and playing competitive games in the local leagues where we are running squads at Under 9, 10, 11, 13, 15 and 16.
Boys and girls are welcome, regardless of previous experience and ability. If you are interested in joining please get in touch. Outdoor practice sessions are each Saturday 09.30 - 11.30. Indoor nets are on Monday nights at Westbrook Hay School from January to April.
Age groups, by school year, are as follows:
Year 3 & 4 – Under 9 (Waiting List in operation)
Years 5 – Under 10 (2 places available)
Years 6 – Under 11 (Waiting List in operation)
Year 7 & 8 – Under 13 (Waiting List in operation)
Years 9 & 10 - Under 15

Our ambition is to establish a girl's section in the next few years. We also actively encourage under 18s to become coaching assistants, through the ECB accreditation process.
Boxmoor CC endorses the ECB's Safe Hands Policy, and has two elected Child Welfare Officers on the main committee. The club's Youth Safety Policy is published in the Codes of Conduct section of this website. All coaching staff and senior captains are CRB checked via the ECB and are sports First Aiders.
