Junior Cricket
In 2008 junior cricket was reintroduced at Boxmoor under the direction of Chris Wright, an ECB Level Two Coach. He is currently assisted by six UKCC1 coaches, Bob Booth, Rob Feander, Ian Gorringe, Nick Harper, Matt Hodgins and Matt Larkins.
In 2010 we are running squads at Under 9, 11, 13, 14 and 16. We are currently at the limit of children to coach ratios.
These age groups, by school year, are as follows:
Year 4 – Under 9
Years 5 & 6 – Under 11
Years 7 & 8 – Under 13
Year 9 – Under 14
Years 10 &11 - Under 16
Boys and girls are welcome, regardless of previous experience and ability. If you are interested in joining please get in touch, though we are currently at capacity. Outdoor practice sessions are each Saturday 10 am - noon. Indoor nets will begin again at Westbrook Hay School in Janary 2010.
Boxmoor CC endorses the ECB's Safe Hands Policy. The club's youth safety policy is published in the Codes of Conduct section of this website. All coaching staff and captains are CRB checked via the ECB.
