Incidents & Accidents Guidelines
Boxmoor Cricket Club has an official procedure for dealing with incidents and accidents. It is important to have access to this information if an incident occurs, particularly when time is precious. A copy of these procedures are on display in the pavilion and on the club website.

Drive towards Plough / Magic Roundabout take first exit and first exit on A4146 (Leighton Buzzard Road). Through two traffic lights. At first mini roundabout turn right (2nd exit, Combe Street), straight over next mini roundabout, turning right at top of slope (second exit, The Marlowes). At next mini roundabout take first exit (left into Hillfield Road). Up the hill, entrance is first right after Alexandra Road on left.

Drive towards Plough / Magic Roundabout At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and then second exit onto A4146 (car showrooms on your left). Over B&Q bridge and straight on through lights, taking the ramp onto A41. After 2 miles, at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Hempstead Rd/A411 heading to Watford. Straight across traffic lights, and at the Hunton Bridge roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the Rickmansworth Rd/A412. Slight left at Cassio Rd, staying on A4178 becomes Whippendell Road then Wiggenhall Road. Right fork (West Watford) then turn right into Farraline Rd (A4145). Follow road left in to Vicarage Road, pass the Football ground, Hospital on left.

Emergency Procedure:

Stay calm but act swiftly and observe the situation. Is there danger of further injuries?

Listen to what the injured person is saying.

Alert the qualified First Aider who should take appropriate action for minor injuries.

In the event of an injury requiring specialist treatment, call the emergency services – 999

Deal with the rest of the group and ensure that they are adequately supervised and safe.

Do not move someone with major injuries. Wait for the emergency medics.

Contact the injured person's parent / guardian. Coaches MUST have these details
- Complete an Incident / Accident Report Form - this can be downloaded from the club website, or obtained from a Junior Coach.
