Or perhaps one team in Hemel should ring true after Boxmoor Sunday 1st XI beat Hemel Hempstead Town 2's by 4 wickets. This was the first game 'the moor' had played with Hemel's newly built pavilion, and it was memorable. Boxmoor bowled Hemel out for a paltry 178 (on what is considered a batsman's pitch), and with Eran Kasthuriarachchi leading from the front with a very impressive 114, Boxmoor were ensured victory against their local rivals. Which for the 2010 season and with all teams, makes it Boxmoor 2, 1 Draw, Hemel 0.

Boxmoor CC were sadly eliminated at the semi final stage of this years Gazette Cup, having been unbeaten in their group the boys were up against it after being drawn against Chipperfield Clarendon, but the club should be proud of our little cup run and now its back to the league.

A comfortable win for the 1st XI away at Shenley Village and a hard fought winning draw for the 2nds saw both teams top their respective tables at the half way point of the Herts League Season. A convincing win against Hemel has helped keep the 3rd XI in contention in Division 14.
